  Each year, deputies of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office V.I.P.E.R. Operations provide law enforcement coverage for a host of civic activities during the course of the year.  Historically, our deputies provide security, escort and/or traffic control duties while working the following special events: Martin Luther King Parade, Black History Month Parade, Juneteenth Parade, Summerhill Parade, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Homeless Initiative, FirED Up 5K Run, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Annual Youth H.Y.P.E. Conference, Morris Brown College Homecoming Parade, Clark Atlanta University Homecoming Parade, Morehouse College Homecoming Parade, Christmas Kwanzaa Parade, AFD 16 Holiday Community Party, Party for Special Citizens, and Helping Hands International Holiday Dinner

The Georgia Public Safety Training Center, a.k.a. GPSTC, offers more than 50 public safety independent online courses that can be completed from the comfort of your home or office, on your schedule.  These courses also include the State of Georgia mandated training such as: Use of Deadly Force De-escalation techniques and alternatives Community Policing The exception being the firearms re-qualification courses, where the officers are required to qualify with all agency issued/carried firearms.
